Chevron has announced it will move 100 jobs from its San Ramon corporate headquarters to Houston this year.

Last year, Chevron announced it was transferring 400 jobs from San Ramon to Houston. As of April 2014, Chevron’s San Ramon workforce numbered 3,500 people.

The jobs, in the oil giant’s human resources department, are non-union and currently are based at the Chevron Park campus, at 6001 Bollinger Canyon Road, the company said.
Chevron also owns and operates a petroleum refinery in Richmond.

“Please note that the vast majority of our Bay Area employees are outside the scope of this activity and that our intention is for San Ramon to remain home to our corporate headquarters,” wrote Jeff Swindel, a public affairs manager, in a letter last month to Stephen Baiter, executive director of the Contra Costa County Workforce Development Board.
